Welcome to an all new series about helping you learn more about the alphabets in the LGBTQIA+ spectrum! Today, let's educate ourselves a bit more on asexuality.
Asexuality is a sexual orientation. This misunderstood and barely represented sexuality is never talked about, so this Ace Week, we’ve broken it down for those who’ve probably just heard the term in passing. Asexual people (ace, for short) are those who don’t feel sexual attraction to anybody—it’s not an illness, and has nothing to do with sexual history or activity, just how they feel about others. The ace movement has been growing as more people discover the term and relate to it, but there is still a long way to go for widespread awareness.
