Assam Gets Its First Woman Finance Minister in Ajanta Neog

Ajanta Neog has been named as the Finance Minister in the second term of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. This is the first time in Assam’s history that the post of the Finance Minister has been allotted to a woman legislator.
