Baljeet Kaur, Gunbala Sharma Become First Indian Women Mountaineers To Summit Mount Pumori Amid COVID-19

Women mountaineers, Baljeet Kaur from Himachal Pradesh and Gunbala Sharma from Rajasthan became the first Indian women to summit Mount Pumori (7,161 meters) in Nepal. The duo was a part of a 12-member team that will attempt to conquer all four peaks that are part of the Everest Massif.

This Indian Everest Massif Expedition 2021(Pumori) Team by Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) is sponsored by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
