Bimala Maji: Pioneer in Peasant Activism

Bimala Maji was a peasant activist from Midnapur, Bengal who is best known for her contribution to the Tebhaga Movement in 1946. Bimala was responsible for mobilising women for this movement, one in India women participated in equal measure as men. Find out more about her and the movement from the video above.
