From Gully Cricket To International Icon: The Story Of Radha Yadav

MAKERS India
5 May 2021, 4:33 am

21-year-old Radha Yadav admits that she didn’t know much about women’s cricket. At the age of 12, she was noticed by her coach Praful Naik while playing cricket with kids from her compound. Under his tutelage, she made her moves to where she is today.

A well-rounded leader, Yadav led West Zone to the 2016-17 BCCI U-19 inter-zonal championship. She later went on to serve as captain of the Baroda U-23 side in 2017, and of the Baroda senior side in 2018.

Yadav made her T20 international debut in 2018 and in January 2020, she was named in India's squad for the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Australia.
