In an exclusive interview with MAKERS India, Lieutenant General Dr Madhuri Kanitkar outlines Operation CO-JEET launched by the Indian armed forces to tackle the second wave of COVID-19 in early May this year. Kanitkar shared that the operation was led by the Indian Army, Air Force and the Navy to overcome infrastructural and personnel challenges by building hospitals, carrying in aid received from different countries through various channels, etc. Additionally, the Operation conducted programs to raise awareness about mental health promoting issues aggravated due to the pandemic.
