The bold and beautiful Swara Bhasker turns 33 today. Swara Bhasker is known for playing a plethora of roles and is admired for her diverse choices and brilliant acting. Her characters in both art-house and commercial movies are known to spark a dialogue.
After starting off as a supporting actress in films like ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ (2011) and ‘Raanjhanaa’ (2013). Bhasker caused a stir with her role in the acclaimed drama, ‘Nil Battey Sannata’ (2016).
Later in 2016, she appeared in her first web series, ‘It's Not That Simple’, with Vivan Bhatena and Karanveer Mehra. The show follows the tale of a modern homemaker, stuck in an unhappy nuptial.
Bhasker has been very vocal in her opinions and views. Right from speaking her mind through Twitter to joining the protests physically, she has hit the ground running. Be it the nepotism debate in the film industry or the infamous Sushant Singh Rajput death case, or the most recent Farmers’ Bill. Bhasker has put forth her thoughts without mincing any words.
Last year, Bhasker announced that she has written the foreword for a collection of essays, titled ‘Inquilab: A Decade of Protest’, published by HarperCollins.
