As India continues to battle the second wave of the COVID-19 crisis, several groups and individuals have stepped up as a response to the pandemic. They have pitched in with their initiatives on social media, messaging apps and digital platforms.

The second wave has renewed a sense of uncertainty, fear and collective trauma. Needless to say that frontline workers and volunteers are the worst hit as they are on the first line of the receiving end. They are grappling with personal loss and grief even as they continue to deliver their best on-ground duties.

Amid this crisis, five women have come forward with therapy helplines primarily geared at frontline workers and volunteers. These women themselves may not be on the frontline, but their contribution is making a huge difference to the lives of COVID-19 warriors. Additionally, these helplines are also helping disseminate verified leads and information to cope with the pandemic situation. Watch the video for more.
